Kamene is a beautiful 15-year-old girl. Her beauty is exceptional. Indeed, anybody who meets her confesses that she is not an average village girl. Kamene is quite tall for her age. She is brown, slim, with long black hair. Kamene has already developed breasts, and her hips are widening as well. She is growing to be as curvy as her mother, Grace. Kamene is doubly emotional about her father’s demise because she had just started her menses during the same week. Yes, as her father dies, she is experiencing her first ever menstrual period. It is pretty devastating.
Kamene’s mother had taken time to prepare her for this moment—the moment of menstruation, but not the loss of a father. Kamene is now solely looking up to her mother for a source of strength, but Grace is having a difficult time with the death of her husband. One week after the burial of Mulinge, Grace is no longer crying; she is quiet. A quiet that is not good. She is not talking to anybody, including Kamene and wants to stay isolated. Grace’s sister Ann quickly learns that her sister is getting into a depression. Therefore, she takes Kamene with her to her house. Ann wants to protect Kamene from seeing her depressed mother. Ann is brilliant and learned, so she finds a local counsellor for Grace.
Kamene Leaves Her Home
Kamene is not willing to live without her mother alone, but Ann convinces her that it is better that way. Ann’s home is quite far from Kamene’s village. It is in a suburban area, hundreds of kilometres from Mulinge’s home. Kamene and Ann arrive at Ann’s home. It is a beautiful, huge home with a compound double Kamene’s compound. Kamene is in awe when she steps out of her auntie’s car. There are three more expensive cars in the home garage. The whole compound is green with grass, and at the end of it, a vast mansion.
Shocking Experience
Kamane has never seen anything like this. In fact, she has never heard of a place like this. Her auntie and her mother are not very close. For this reason, Grace never visited Ann and never did Ann visit Grace, until she lost her husband. All this is new, and Kamene is so overwhelmed. Ann welcomes Kamene to her home and leads her to the mansion. Kamene’s life is about to change completely. Check out the next part.
