Early Life and Family Background
Oburu Ngโongโa Oginga, popularly known as Oburu Odinga, was born on 15 October 1943 in Nyanza Province, Kenya. He is a prominent member of the Odinga political family, which has played a significant role in Kenyaโs political history. His father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, was a key figure in Kenyaโs independence movement, and his younger brother, Raila Odinga, was one of the countryโs most influential opposition leaders. Oburu also has a sister, Ruth Odinga.
